It all kicked off last night on Twitter with rapper Meek Mill firing some not-so-indirect shots at Drake.
Meek Mill, real name Robert Rahmeek Williams sent for the Take Care star with a flurry of tweets via social network Twitter accusing him of not writing his own lyrics.
The riled-up 28-year-old rapper tweeted: “Stop comparing drake to me too… He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out!”
He then went on to accuse Drake of not even writing his own verse on Meek’s album: “He aint even write that verse on my album and if I woulda knew I woulda took it off my album…I don’t trick my fans!”
It’s unclear as to what set Meek off – but the Philadelphia born star refused to hold his tongue – he even commented on picture of Nicki dancing provocatively on Drake while dating former-beau Safari “SB” Samuels, saying: “I asked her how she did that with a boyfriend that was b4 me!”
Meek has allegedly removed all of the pictures of himself and Nicki Minaj from his Instagram page prompting rumours about possible relationship turmoil.
The incident has sent the internet into meltdown with people posting memes of Drake and Meek Mill
Fans took to Twitter to defend rapper/singer Drake.
One commented: “Drake is better than you, you’re only relevant because of Nicki Minaj.”
Another disgruntled fan said: “Drake is too good, no one should compare him to you because you can’t rap!!”
Drake, who hasn’t tweeted for weeks was unavailable for comment.
